Online Gambling – Do Gamblers Often Lose?

How much does the average person lose when performing online gambling activity? The answer depends on a variety of factors. For starters, what type of stakes are involved and how much are you hoping to win or lose. It is also dependent on the typical person’s experience with gambling and their ability to stay within the law. If you have never gambled before, then you probably will not have a very good idea of how much to expect, but let’s take a look at some averages.

Online Gambling

Let’s assume that we are going to use the standard “box” spread in our examples. This is the average of five pots in which the house takes a percentage of the pot. This is the typical scenario where the average person knows they are throwing their money into the pot. They know the odds of them winning against their opponents are great so they bet the amount they can afford.

Now, let’s assume that person is somewhat familiar with how gambling works and how they can maximize their potential profits. They know that they can probably win most of their pots. So, they go ahead and place a bet. They have probably figured out that if they can win the pot on even terms then they are probably going to walk away with a profit. They are not that concerned with the probability of them losing the whole amount because they are willing to try.

Average Amount of Losses

On the other hand, let’s say that person has no idea what they are doing. They may have already lost online gambling sites and they have nothing on the cards. They are fairly certain that they will not win the pot and therefore they place an accurate bet. However, they are still very likely to walk away with less than they expected and thus they end up spending more money than they should.
